2. What are the advantages of sandwich studies? First of all, after two years spent at the university you will have the opportunity to use your knowledge in a real work environment and earn some money.
What is more, if you perform well, the employer who organizes your work placement may be willing to employ you after you finish your studies. He/she may even sponsor you for your final year of studies! Besides this, you gain experience, a valuable entry in your Curriculum Vitae and references! 3. Are the costs of living in Wolverhampton the same as in other cities of England? No. Wolverhampton is situated in a region where the costs of living are low. This means you will spend half the money you would have to spend if you lived, for example, in London. 4. Will I find a job if I study full-time? Quite likely. With a minimum classroom commitment of 12 hours a week, you will have some spare time to work. Remember, however, you also have a "directed learning" commitment of between 12-28 hours more. 5. Does CERO help me to find a job? What are the average earnings? No, we do not help to find a job. However, after registering in the Uni Job Shop you will be receiving the most recent job offers to your mailbox. The minimum hourly rate of pay is ₤5.50. 6. Do I have to take some documents with me to Wolverhampton? Yes. You have to take your original high school graduation certificate, the original certificate of secondary education, the original Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, the original Unconditional Offer and 2 photographs. 7. When does the academic year start in Wolverhampton?
The academic year starts on the 24th of September. However, from the 17th of September a Welcome Week is organized. Besides this, if you want to find a job it is worthwhile going there earlier. 8. What should I take with me to the hall? You will NOT receive bedclothes, pots, dishes, etc. Therefore, you need to bring those with you. 9. Does CERO collect charges for the helping you with your application? No, we do not collect charges for the help with your application. The only thing you have to pay for is the translation of the attached documents (currently 36,60 PLN for a text of up to 1800 characters). 10. Can I get copies of the translated documents? At the request of the University of Wolverhampton to make the translations uniform, Conversa translates all the documents for recruitment purposes. The translations are sent to Wolverhampton; these are not certified translations. We do not give the copies of the translations. If necessary, we could send the translations by e-mail and you will authenticate it at the certified translator. 11. Do I have to meet some requirements to get the bursary? No. The bursary is granted automatically to every student who begins the undergraduate studies from the first or the second year. You also need to be continuing with your studies and attending classes to receive the bursary.
12. Is receiving a loan dependent on my parents’ earnings? No. A loan is given to everyone who has enrolled in the studies. 13. Can I get to Wolverhampton if I do not take three subjects at extended level in the school-leaving examination? Possibly. If you enclose more than two references with your application and write a good covering letter, your application will be considered on an individual basis.
